Overview

The Shift Lead is responsible for supervising a crew or shift that performs all essential duties in a Distribution Center or Reverse Logistic Center as needed. The Shift Lead is responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of pallets or materials to maximize efficiencies and overall productivity of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate expectations and goals daily to team in order to meet reLogistics performance standards
• Ability to communicate to customer any needs or concerns
• Must be able to coach, train, provide feedback, and if necessary hold team members accountable
• Must be accountable for achieving reLogistics results while maintaining reLogistics Core Values and Safety Standards
• The ability the have Shift Safety Meetings with crew before work begins
• Ability to complete all production paperwork with accuracy
• Communicates directly with On Site / Plant Manager with any employee issues
• Loading and unloading materials from trailers
• Moving pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• Stacking pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions
• Checking to make sure loads are secure
• Ensuring that all employees are working safe and abide by all safety policies
• Ensuring that all daily equipment checks on all Industrial power equipment are being performed
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Must maintain a clean & safe environment working environment that meets reLogistics standards

Qualifications

• Preferred Supervisor or Lead position experience recommended
• Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail along with basic computer skills
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, ability to pass a background and drug screen
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards
• Open availability
• Understanding that overtime may be required and is considered mandatory 

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include but not limited to; elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

• Frequently lift up to 85 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Having a good sense of balance
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work overtime and shifts up to 12 hours per day on a regular or irregular basis
